Indiana Legislature overrides the Gov veto

Governor Holcomb vetoed several bills this term.  One of them, the bill to keep boys who ‘identify’ as girls out of girls’ sports had his veto overridden.  As a note, it does not keep girls out of boys’ sports.

His reasoning for the veto was straw-argument at best:  that there is no existing problem that would be addressed by the legislation and that the state is going to get sued.

I still think that he was under pressure from the NCAA, based in Indianapolis.

One Republican senator, Ed Charbonneu, voted no with the Dems on the override.
