Women's rights.v3

Britain’s Equalities and Human Rights Commission has said that single sex spaces (as defined by biology) are perfectly legal in some cases.

The guidance is wishy-washy and milquetoast, as are most things British, (including the food) but at least it is something.  And it does kind of acknowledge that women have as many rights as trans people.  What a concept!!

Despite the fact that a study in Britain showed that men would claim to be women in order to be put into women’s prisons primarily so they could re-offend (they are mainly rapists) this guidance does not cover prisons or sports.

A week ago, women bicyclists said they would boycott a major event if a man was allowed to compete.  British Cycling shut him out on a technicality (he’s still listed as a man in their files).  The fact that lowering testosterone levels below a certain point for a year does not negate the muscle mass and other characteristics that come with growing up male is starting to be recognized.

World Rugby doesn’t allow men to play at the elite level (probably because a lot of biological females were ending up in the hospital).

“It is known that biological males (whose puberty and development is influenced by androgens/testosterone) are stronger by 25% to 50%, are 30% more powerful, 40% heavier, and about 15% faster than biological females.

“That combination of mass, strength, power and speed means that in a direct physical contest, ciswomen in all these domains will be at significant risk of injury.”

It added: “Studies suggest that the compounded or cumulative effect of these attributes may be even greater, with one study showing that punching power – a composite of mass, force/strength, and power is 160% higher in biological males than in biological females.”

An  activist for female rights brings up some good points and brings an important fact to the front–that many of today’s issues regarding transgender come from the medical profession (she doesn’t say it that way but…)  She says:

“There is a demand by people who want to use opposite-sex services in order to validate their feeling that they are really a man or a woman and there has been an expectation that they could do that,” she said.

Forstater claimed that in many cases transgender people where told by their doctors to try to use single sex spaces “as a test of whether they could get around in the world, but those doctors didn’t have the right to overrule the consent of other people.”

“We are also going around our day to day lives, and we aren’t there to validate someone’s gender feelings, we are trying to have our own dignity and privacy,” the campaigner concluded.

Biology is a thing and it matters.  On a lot of levels.  And a tiny minority should not be able to override the rights of others.  The word woman is a descriptor of a person with specific characteristics, including XX chromosomes, and is not something that can be changed to be ‘inclusive’.

  1. Now if women would accept that they are not males….can't do the things men do, aren't a strong and can't do many (most) of the jobs men do because of stengtht and endurance issues, and stop whining that they are 'Equal”. You women can't have it both ways. Pick one. either way shut up.

  2. I think each sex has it's own strengths. The pendulum is finally swinging the other way back to normalcy.
