Conscience informed by Faith

A Puerto Rican Bishop, Fernández Torres, is being removed from his post without any process for the crime of ‘not obeying the Pope and not being collegial to his fellow Bishops’ since he refuses to mandate covid shots.

In other words, he used his brain and wouldn’t go along to get along.  He wouldn’t sign a letter saying that Catholic congregations would be segregated based on vaxxed status and that led to the ax.  The letter mandated vaxxes for clergy and Church employees and stated that there was no basis in Catholic teaching to reject these shots.

“Respect for the conscience of the person is also Catholic doctrine,” Torres wrote, citing The Catechism of the Catholic Church. “Conscience, and its freedom, cannot be considered only as a civil right but is something intrinsic to our Catholic faith.”

I think that Bishop Torres brings up a point that was lost in the covid times.  “Conscience, and its freedom, cannot be considered only as a civil right”.  So many people who requested religious exemptions to the gene therapy injection were asked to show chapter and verse in the documents of their faith as proof that they should be exempted.  And those documents don’t exist.

Previously it was enough to say that my conscience, informed by my faith, says that I don’t take this medicine, shot, or procedure.   And that was that.

To the governments of the world and even the religious institutions (who should have been standing strong)  a person’s conscience was not deemed enough to reject an experimental therapy.  In fact, those seeking such exemptions were/are excoriated and sidelined, and the military is dishonorably discharging soldiers.  Lists are being gathered by governmental entities of those who claimed a religious exemption.

For the sin of having the audacity to claim a right of conscience to not take a shot that will change their DNA.

The core of what it is to be human was trampled and is still being trampled.  Over a cold.

  1. Hey, you gets your moral advice from kiddy diddlers, and then complain about where it takes you?Get out! Find a decent church not founded on kiddy diddling and other poz, or keep your family home and practice there.
