We had the infamous ‘polar vortex’ a couple of years ago. Now the weather service, or the MSM has decided to go all Sharknado with a weather event and dub it the ‘bomb cyclone’.
I’m pretty sure a ‘bomb cyclone’ used to be called a Nor’easter in the winter and a hurricane in the summer.
If you do a quick search, there’s all kinds of stories that give a backdrop for the new and improved branding of what we call ‘winter storms’.
Honestly, are these people just sitting around toking it up and making up stuff?
“Dude,’ nor’easter’ is sooooo yesterday. We need a scarier term.”
… two bong hits later….
“How about ‘bomb cyclone’? It’ll look good for the made-for-TV movies later.”
Good grief.
