The University of Pennsylvania now has a guy on the women’s swim team. He was swimming as a guy in 2019 and, after failing at that, decided to grow his hair out and use a new ‘preferred name’ that’s female.
Of course he’s breaking all of the women’s records because he’s a DUDE.
Here’s what the NCAA has to say:
A trans female treated with testosterone suppression medication may continue to compete on a men’s team but may not compete on a women’s team without changing it to a mixed team status until completing one year of testosterone suppression treatment.
A trans male who has received a medical exemption for treatment with testosterone is no longer eligible to compete on a women’s team without changing that team status to a mixed team.
The true women on the UPENN team are not happy. But they can’t speak out without bringing the ravening crowd upon them and ruining their chances for advancing in their sport. Of course these guys are ruining the chances for women to advance anyway.
One year of testosterone suppression, as an anonymous team member points out, does not change puberty or growth as a man.
She also hopes that she only has boys because she doesn’t want any girls that would have to experience what she is going through now.
Part of the reason to have girls’ sports is because of physical differences. Those don’t change, regardless of testosterone levels.
These girls really only have one choice, and it’s a bad one. They need to walk, as a team.
