After reading about and watching Biden’s unconstitutional and lunatic ravings last night, it occurred to me that the eviction moratorium extension was a dry run for this vaccine mandate.
In that case, they knew it was unconstitutional, they said it was unconstitutional and they did it anyway to see what traction they could get before the courts shut it down.
Same thing with this injection mandate. They know it’s unconstitutional, they said that it’s unconstitutional, and they are doing it anyway.
They’ve been setting the stage for this for the past few months. They’ve created a new second class/hated part of society–the unvaxxed (with the help of the media). They’ve changed the definition of a vaccine. They’ve gotten universities onboard as well as some (most) unions. The mandate for all federal employees was a toe-dipping in the water to see who would screech.
GOP governors are going to fight back on this. But it’ll take time. Best that businesses can do is ignore it and hope that SCOTUS does the right thing–because that’s where it’s going to end up. It is not a sure shot there considering that Justice Barrett didn’t accept the Indiana University case. In Indiana, Holcomb hasn’t made a statement but AG Rokita has.
I don’t think it’s too histrionic to say that we’re one step from Australia’s ‘camps’.
ETA: Maybe I’ll just self-identify as illegal since they are exempt from this.
