So, for all of you in Indiana, get ready for the latest drinking game. This afternoon at 5:30 ET, the governor is going to be addressing the state on the anniversary of his lockdown. No one I’ve talked to today (and it’s been a LOT of people) is very optimistic about what he’s going to say when it come to taking away the restrictions that are in place.
So, here’s the game:
Every time he uses a sports metaphor–1 shot
Every time he claims he’s following the science–1 shot
Every time he tries to say how much better Indiana is doing or that he’s ‘laser-focused’ on Indiana–1 shot
Every time he refers to Dr Box as ‘his’ doctor–3 shots because it’s just too weird since she’s a gynecologist.
I’m figuring it’ll be blotto time after the first ten minutes.
My prediction is a bunch of platitudes, a bunch of sports metaphors, and absolutely no action because apparently in Indiana, the freedom of its citizens are for sale to the feds.
