Yet another postal worker has just been charged for throwing away ballots in a dumpster in Utah. This is NOT an isolated incident.
I think that the biggest issue is that postal workers are now mindless, selfish, ideologically-driven drones. It used to be that delivering the mail was a sacred trust and those workers took their jobs seriously. Now, cash back coupons from Menards can’t even get to their destination because someone nabs them. And workers allow their personal biases and politics to interfere with their duties.
I don’t even like having connecting flights on the few times I have to fly commercial because that’s a point of failure. And the mail system is a lot more complex.
So yeah, getting rid of mail in ballots is necessary to secure our elections. The postal service personnel absolutely cannot be trusted. Every step in their system–where you drop off your mail, where it gets sorted, the various facilities you mail travels through, as well as the supposed deliverer of said mail are all points of failure.
