I’ve been trying to hold off, as much as possible on commenting on the Cornell 7 bruhaha.
But I’ve been reading about these frat brothers and their actions and, in my opinion, I believe they were as respectful as possible in the situation they were in.
From all accounts, they respected Doe’s wishes as far as number of partners–she was fine with two partners, but not three. And they respected that line. Several asked her if she was okay and were assured, by her, that she was. They also tried to squelch the gossip about her and tried to keep it from getting worse by disinviting her from their next party.
I think that others, if not going to the extent I am above, have realized that the whole rape thing is a manufactured thing caused by a woman with regret, hard feelings, and other motivations we won’t know.
Poking through the interwebz, the whole thing has fallen from the front pages, which tells me everything. The Cows of TikTok are even starting to realize that they fell for a propaganda play (not all, but some).
I saw the similarities to the Duke case and others from the start.
The real crime is that Jane Doe will never have any consequences for her lies.
