At the World Cup in Mexico City, a Mexican guy who was sitting behind some chick from South Korea decided to pull the corners of his eyes out in the apparently universal way of making fun of Asian folks.
He thought it was hilarious (then). The chick, with over two million followers on Tik Tok and over six million on youtube, caught it on camera and did not agree.
He’s followed the apology script but did end up with consequences for his actions.
But here’s the thing that snagged my attention. He’s a brown person and I thought once you got past a certain hue on the color wheel, you couldn’t be racist.
So what gives?
