And that is the way it’s done

Principal Kirk Moore saw a guy with a pistol walk through the door of his school and immediately tackled the guy to the ground. He took a bullet to the leg in the process but prevented others from getting hurt or killed.

From the New York Post:

The crazed gunman’s weapon malfunctioned before he aimed his pistol at another student, who begged him not to open fire.

Moore, who has worked in the school district for more than 35 years, rushed to the school lobby to investigate the commotion.

Hawkins was seen pointing his weapon at the Moore’s head and firing a shot, which struck the educator’s right leg, before he was tackled.

Good work Principal Moore!

    Extending what B said, it is hard wired into a man’s DNA to protect women and children; any man that wouldn’t do that has defective DNA.

    Women running to escape danger (taking as many kids out of danger as possible) is also hard wired into human DNA. When the tiger entered the camp, women would grab the children and flee; men would use all of their energy here and now to neutralize the threat.

    You can see this evolutionary pattern in how swim teams optimize practice. Men’s swim teams focus on sprints: all the energy here and now. Women’s swim teams focus on distance.

    Kudos to Kirk Moore for demonstrating what a real man is. Too bad Uvalde only had people with defective DNA.

    I’ll add that both men and women should have a self (or perhaps species) preservation instinct no matter what their DNA is wired to do.

    Since 9/11 and probably before, this is just when I really first noticed, people seem docile and willing to accept their fate rather than fight back.
