While I’d really like to see the Clintons, especially Hillary, hauled before Congress, Comer et al had to know it was never going to happen. And since Hillary is the blueprint for what the democratic party has become, they just refused to to it.
Which is stereotypical for the scions of that side of the aisle. Because they know the republicans will either not take further action, or, because they still have most of DC in their pockets, they know it won’t go anywhere.
Another thing is that they come out fighting.
“’Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principles and its people, no matter the consequences’, the Clintons wrote in a lengthy letter to Mr. Comer, which was obtained by The New York Times. ‘For us, now is that time’.”
…
“We are confident that any reasonable person in or out of Congress will see, based on everything we release, that what you are doing is trying to punish those who you see as your enemies and to protect those you think are your friends,” they wrote.”
With the Clintons, the Epstein thing is just a red herring. I’d like to see them brought to task for Uranium One, the use and destruction of non-approved hardware and software that allowed foreign powers to access confidential communications (no leaks necessary), and the Clinton Foundation’s connection to Haiti.
