Recruiting/retention tool for the IRS??

Apparently one of the side effects of the ‘no tax on tips’ is that getting tipped for pornographic content is a no-no. Which leads us, of course, to OnlyFans.

Because some people claim that all OnlyFans content isn’t pornographic. Maybe there are exceptions.

But someone from the IRS is going to have to watch the content to make the determination of porn/not porn.

Ultimately, they say that for OnlyFans creators that submit returns claiming the tips deduction, someone is going to have to watch the content to make sure it qualifies or should be disallowed.

There are over 2 million content creators on OnlyFans and of those, 1.5 earn money through their content.

That’s going to be a LOT of man-hours and overtime.

  1. Wasn’t it only a few years ago that we watched tons of stories about federal workers watching porn at the office and there was no way we could fire them? As I recall, they’d simply show up at work, log in, and watch porn all day long on govt computers and still get paid. So seems like the field work has already been done.

  5. I’m sure the IRS Employees Union would fight it tooth and nail, but it seems AI could be used to watch the content. Most of government regulation relies on self reporting.

One of the guys at work got busted for porn surfing on a government computer. They were all ready to fire him when he protested that he didn’t know it wasn’t allowed. 🤦

Luckily, rather than creating yet another annual course we all had to take, they created a new form everyone had to sign stating we knew not to surf porn at work.

  6. Are they going to hire both men and women for positions?

    from here: https://fansmetrics.com/blog/onlyfans-revenue-report

In 2023, fans spent $6.63 billion on content. That’s up from $5.55 billion the year before. OnlyFans pulled in $1.31 billion in net revenue — and made over $650 million in profit.

    Getting down is getting up.

    Yeah… it fits.

    1. Yannow, it might make sense to bring the IRS agents to the office and have them watch porn all day.
If it works, then apply the same to the ATF.

  8. Taxpayer: What would you say you do here?
    IRS: We audit OnlyFans,
    Taxpayer: So you watch porn.
IRS: We’re looking for legitimate tips.

  9. So… do I apply to the IRS?

Pros: get paid to watch chicks!
Cons: with my luck, I would be stuck with the weird ones: the furries, the fatties, the people who actually go to nude beaches, ya know?

I recall going to the beach at Atlantic city once. Let me just say, after that trip I considered joining a monastery. 260 pound 80 year old women should NOT be wearing bikinis…. I view it as against the Geneva Conventions.

So: being an IRS agent and paid to watch OnlyFans? Probably not a good idea, as all the “good sites” would be reserved for the bosses.

  10. @ Vance,

I have heard that the IRS office viewing the porn will be based in New York but if you really want a job with them, you will have to go to Colorado.

That isn’t where you will be interviewed. That’s where the end of the queue is … >};o)
