   The unknown number caller is exactly how I handle any number that makes it past my blocked caller list and looks like it may be a real person. It is funny to see that it is common enough behavior to embody a meme.

   By the way, I have a Panasonic phone with multiple radio connected handsets. This phone system allows me to block up to 1000 numbers. The number can be a modified wild card, so I have entire area codes blocked (202, for instance). I have first ring turned off, so I don’t even hear a single ring. Woo Hoo. It is wonderful during Medicare sign up and political donation seasons.
