Rand Paul brings it regarding the childhood vaccination schedule

They brought the now-former head of the CDC before a Senate committee with the subject being the childhood vaccine schedule. While she wanted to whine about her and other folks either being fired or quitting, Sen. Paul was having none of it.

This came the day after the new acting CDC director sent out a memo that said:

“Mission creep has distracted us from our core mission over the years,” O’Neill wrote. “Not every health decision is the government’s business, and CDC need not duplicate the work of other divisions.”

I think there’s some good changes coming because there has been considerable mission creep (CDC mucking about with firearm ownership, for example).

    I would absolutely agree. Whereas “Incremental Degradation” is a thing, so absolutely is “Incremental Augmentation” and that they are just blithely giving Hep B vaccines to newborns seems far and away BEYOND what’s an “abundance” of caution.

    Also… why is it that there are so many that simply cannot directly answer a question sans prevarication? Maddening.

    They really should just abolish the CDC as is and start anew. New project definition, the works, before establishing a new tightly limited agency if any. Of course we see how well Constitutional limits are working so maybe just forget the whole thing and leave it to the States as the Founders intended.

    The medical reason for giving newborns all kinds of newly invented ‘vaccines’ is that Big Pharma’s pockets are DEEP And that congress depends on their generous ‘donations’.

    Everything in .gov is about budgets.
    More things you do, the more money you can ask for.
    Mission creep or call it budgeting creep is prevalent in every department.
    Take a look at what the National Labs work on, little or none of it is related to the Department of Energy.

    If the CDC wants to get involved with firearms ownership in any kind of fashion, i don’t believe they are going to gain any traction at all. Americans, as a whole, are not going to tolerate a medical bureaucracy meddling in constitutional matters where arms are concerned. Globalist interests would like to use the CDC to probe for some soft authority to undermine firearms ownership. They can get stuffed. This smarmy little self- important psuedointellectual former cdc director thinks that she can dazzle with her new vocabulary words that she brushed up on yesterday for the hearing. No one is impressed with her vocabulary, or the fact that she will vomit unnecessarily “prestigious ” words where a common one will do a better job. Her type is smug, pompous, unapologetic, and superior(without being). She can go take a flying leap, too. Yet another example of those with power caring not one whit for those they are commissioned to protect.

    boneman–That’s definitely the annoying part. And for a possible 1000 babies maybe getting hep b in the birthing process, giving the shot to millions seems to be the epitome of overkill.

    steve6–Agreed. They’ve mission-creeped more than the EPA ever thought about.

    Henk–Agree.

    Gerry–Absolutely. and yes.

    TRoy–The CDC was already doing it and need to be pulled back. And definitely agree about her smarminess and lack of care for either their mission or for people.

    When my kids were on the shot schedule, I had everything except the MMR pushed back six months. This was well before the Kung Flu flu jab and I live in a state where liberty and parental rights have always been at the forefront.

    I was pretty pissed when I found out recently that every few days old baby is given a Hep B shot WITHOUT THE PARENT’S KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT and both my children developed jaundice as a result.

    I’ve always wondered why “science” didn’t develop something akin to the colostrum in mother’s milk to kick start a baby’s immune system.

      Nemo–Yeah, and I did the math and they are giving this shot to millions of day old babies to prevent maybe 1000 infections.
