After Charlie Kirk’s assassination and the anniversary of September 11, I am tapped out. The one thing that I’ve read of interest is the number of people who, after showing that they have no souls on social media, are actually getting kicked to the curb.
- Dowd at MSNBC actually crossed their line (something I didn’t think was possible) and is out.
- An assistant Dean of Students at MTSU, also gone.
- Some teachers in MA, suspended, probably gone.
- A communications director for the NC Panthers, canned too.
- DC went the extra mile and canceled a new comic book series and offered refunds on the ones already sold because of the writer.
Probably there’s a bunch of others that haven’t hit my radar. It’s where freedom of speech has met freedom of association. Who wants a soulless shriveled creature in their organization? And the ugliness from the left has been rampant.
Bluesky even sent a warning saying that ugly posts will be removed.
In a post on Bluesky’s ‘Safety’ account, officials for the company wrote: ‘Glorifying violence or harm violates Bluesky’s Community Guidelines. We review reports and take action on content that celebrates harm against anyone.’
‘Violence has no place in healthy public discourse, and we’re committed to fostering healthy, open conversations,’ the post continued.
According to the platform’s ‘Cardinal Directions,’ any of the 38 million users who violate that policy to celebrate Kirk’s assassination or promote violence against political activists could have their account suspended or removed from Bluesky.
Bluesky was not the only social platform and media outlet forced to take action following an outpouring of inflammatory comments and videos on Wednesday.
Meta, YouTube, Reddit, and Discord all issued statements denouncing any posts featuring the assassination, while MSNBC was forced to fire one of its political analysts for his remarks on air right after the shooting.
They hate based on lies and urban legends and will not be corrected. And they think they are virtuous. And the ones that got fired, the ones who revel in darkness will consider themselves to be the victims.
