Freedom of Speech, meet Freedom of Association (and at-Will employment)

After Charlie Kirk’s assassination and the anniversary of September 11, I am tapped out. The one thing that I’ve read of interest is the number of people who, after showing that they have no souls on social media, are actually getting kicked to the curb.

  • Dowd at MSNBC actually crossed their line (something I didn’t think was possible) and is out.
  • An assistant Dean of Students at MTSU, also gone.
  • Some teachers in MA, suspended, probably gone.
  • A communications director for the NC Panthers, canned too.
  • DC went the extra mile and canceled a new comic book series and offered refunds on the ones already sold because of the writer.

Probably there’s a bunch of others that haven’t hit my radar. It’s where freedom of speech has met freedom of association. Who wants a soulless shriveled creature in their organization? And the ugliness from the left has been rampant.

Bluesky even sent a warning saying that ugly posts will be removed.

In a post on Bluesky’s ‘Safety’ account, officials for the company wrote: ‘Glorifying violence or harm violates Bluesky’s Community Guidelines. We review reports and take action on content that celebrates harm against anyone.’

‘Violence has no place in healthy public discourse, and we’re committed to fostering healthy, open conversations,’ the post continued.

According to the platform’s ‘Cardinal Directions,’ any of the 38 million users who violate that policy to celebrate Kirk’s assassination or promote violence against political activists could have their account suspended or removed from Bluesky.

Bluesky was not the only social platform and media outlet forced to take action following an outpouring of inflammatory comments and videos on Wednesday.

Meta, YouTube, Reddit, and Discord all issued statements denouncing any posts featuring the assassination, while MSNBC was forced to fire one of its political analysts for his remarks on air right after the shooting.

They hate based on lies and urban legends and will not be corrected. And they think they are virtuous. And the ones that got fired, the ones who revel in darkness will consider themselves to be the victims.

  1. I used to listen very regularly (even called in a number of times) to a Gentleman that Rush Limbaugh referred to as “The KING of Talk Radio”, Bob Grant out of NYC. Bob would very often put forth the following:

“It’s sick out there and getting sicker!”

THAT… was 30 or more years ago.

I can’t even begin to imagine his take on things today, but I daresay his excoriations, vituperations, castigations, etc. (his vocabulary inspired MY love of words) would be legion.

  2. Time to start discussing freedom of association on a bigger scale and the dissolution of the so-called “United” States. Forcing everyone to live this way, under a government that micromanages every second of one’s life, is a recipe for a disaster that is now more inevitable than ever.

  3. Freedom of speech does not bring with it a freedom from consequences. Say what you want about the government and officials, but generating angry emails and phone calls to your employer will generally be dealt with quickly.

Grave dancing out loud or in print also shows a certain lack of character that may not go over well with workplace harmony.

  4. boneman–It’s disgusting what people are openly and proudly saying.

MrLiberty–I think this will be a turning point.

Gerry–Exactly. The people saying this stuff are sub-human. Fortunately the teachers, etc. are getting fired so they can’t continue to spread their hate to kids.

  5. I’ve watched a number of disgusting short clips of the usual blue haired, bone in nose reprobates taking joy in Kirk’s assassination.

WTF is wrong with this young crowd? I know. At least I think I do.

Kirk was executed because of an idea he expressed for his vision of what the country and society should be like and someone kills him for that?

Have they not been exposed to moral decency ever? This is today’s Left.

    God help us.

    1. Nemo–Unfortunately it’s not just the young crowd. Some of these folks are in their 40s and up. The left has eaten their brains using fear and a culture of victimhood. And anyone who does not agreed with them must be destroyed like statues and art and anything that is beautiful.

  6. The grave dancers have been getting nothing but cheers from their fellow sycophants for so long, that the concept of receiving FO because of their FA will be quite a shock to their system. Hope to see more of it happening. Maybe they can serve as an example for those still capable of putting two thoughts together.

  7. It is an ugly task to try to describe antifa members. They are a group of misfits and malcontents who decide that doing good every day in the real world is too hard, so they band together to fight their imaginary opressors. This sort of ideology appeals to those who are adrift with no morals, Judeo Christian belief foundation, or life prospects. Much of the reason for their malaise is of their own invention. They are the personification of passive/aggressive basement dwellers. They appeal to rebellious types, and anyone who is trying desperately to be different from what they perceive as mainstream and traditional. They are unhappy, and instead of examining themselves, project their inability to “do life” into hate for those who can.

  8. CHEER UP, MIDWEST CHICK. The ‘ shooting ‘ was staged. Kirk is not dead. Is he headed back to Israel ? Who knows. A veteran Navy SEAL debunked it within 12 hours.
Same as Ashli Babbit faked shooting. Look hard on the net, you will find ‘ after-I’ve-been-shot ‘ pics of Ashli. While you’re at it, dig up pics of those ‘ dead ‘ Sandy Hook children having a reunion. YOU ARE WATCHING A MOVIE – almost nothing you see is real. But it will be — SOON.

Please post something to back up your claims. Seriously….Again, Credible information would be well received.
    Credible being the operative word.

If you can, I’d like to see it. But I don’t think you can.

Put up or shut up, as they say.

  11. TRoy–That’s an excellent breakdown of the situation.

Blueray–Uhmmm…. no. I’m hoping you’re joking or missed using the sarcasm emoji but if you’re serious, I think you need to start getting your ‘news’ from other sources. Or, like B says below, put those sources out there so we can judge for ourselves.

B–Absolutely. If we don’t have those, we can’t evaluate the information.

TRoy–I was hoping that as well….

I hope the school fires his ass and he is never able to work anywhere again except at shoveling chit against the tide for which he is paid minimum wage.

It’s more than past time that these people receive some of their own cancel culture right back in their face.

  13. Nemo–Looks like he’s at least on suspension and hopefully headed for firing. We have a couple in our area too but to the best of my knowledge they haven’t reaped the results of their vile rhetoric.

They have nearly 20,000 submissions so far and plan to make it field searchable so employers and others can out these monsterous shi theads and get them fired.

  17. So far I’ve seen Mossad killed him and now, above, he’s alive and heading to Israel.
    The worst part?
Since 2020, when every conspiracy has been shown to be true, I have to wonder if both of those are true.

Nemo–Thanks for that! And the comments were very interesting.

Ace–I saw that one. We’ll see what comes of it.

Veeshir–There are conspiracy theories and then there’s this. Yes, the conspiracy theories have been running more accurate, but not always.

  19. I say let these rectal cavities reveal themselves publicly. Screencap their ghoulish BS, and cull their names,.photos, etc. as those may eventually prove….”useful” to have foreknowledge of. Besides, anything that pisses off the good guys (that’d be us) is a good thing at this stage, because clearly the right is going to have to suffer a far larger heap of insults before most will get angry enough to take actual substantive action, instead of going on shooting their mouths about “this time they’ve gone too far”.

Its easy to get lost in the shuffle, but I think Big Ruckus D’s suggestion of screen shoting the grave dancers’ (descriptive phrase) posts — especially the grave dancers you personally know — is a good idea. Know who to slowly cut ties with. Know who is a clear and present danger if it all goes south.

    Stay safe.

    1. Unferth–It’s good advice. I cut ties with someone who is probably grave dancing last week over some unhinged drunken texts wherein my voting for Trump was an issue. You stay safe too!

  22. Wise of you not to accept my claims. No proof, question it. I could post pics, but with CGI & AI, it’s not trustworthy, is it ? My Dad was at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7th, 1941 & told us kids what REALLY happened. Woke up at a young age. No trust in authority. Or government.
So if / when you do your own research, & then the EBS goes off & you see it for yourself, maybe you’ll remember my claim. The REAL Charlie is safe. You’ll hear about it soon.

  23. Blueray: What a cheap, cowardly, cop-out. I expected that you would weasel. Your kind always does.

Put up or shut up. You can’t dance your way out and still have credibility.
Now you throw in Pearl Harbor? You gonna tell me there was no attack by the Japanese or something? Do tell us the rest of the story you started above. Tell us your Dads’s story. If you don’t wanna do it here in MC’s comments, then do it over at MiddleOfTheRIght.com. I’ll let you post the entire story of Pearl Harbor AND the Charade that you claim was the Charlie Kirk murder. Facts though.

If you don’t then you are a liar and a blowhard and a fool…..we already see that you are a weasel, but I am giving you a chance to redeem yourself.

You make such BULLSHIT statements, you gotta back em up somehow.

  24. blueray–At least I’m looking more normal in comparison to what you’re putting out there. If it manifests, I’ll apologize, but I don’t think I’ll have to. And you’re not providing anything to work with.

B–I agree that we need some proof or something we can use as a starting point for research. Nebulous ‘secrets’ are annoying.

I am sure that making mysterious and ambiguous statements such as you did here must impress many underage boys….

But, like MrLiberty on the 9-11 post previous to this one, you cannot (or will not) back up anything you so mysteriously suggested…..
    Your kind never can.
