ACLU pulling back an appeal to the Supremes

The ACLU has filed a dismissal at the lower court in Little v. Hecox—one of two women’s sports cases scheduled to be heard at SCOTUS—and asked the Court to declare the appeal moot.

As a note, the quote below is from CNN but was changed to include the accurate pronouns of the person involved.

A [man] who was challenging Idaho’s ban on trans athletes told the Supreme Court on Wednesday that [he] is withdrawing [his] high-profile case, citing intense “negative public scrutiny” because of the litigation and a desire to focus on “academic and personal goals.”

Lindsay Hecox, a 24-year-old senior at Boise State University told the high court that [he] is dismissing [his] case – and, in an unusual move, [he] asked the justices to throw out a ruling from the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals that was decided in [his] favor.

Word on the net is that the ACLU is pretty sure they’re going to lose and pulled the appeal because once the Supremes make the call, the whole house of cards is going to come tumbling down.

  1. We really should refer to trans in sports as the Democratic (sic) Party’s war on women.

  6. Amazing isn’t it. When they finally understand that they’re going to get their ass kicked at the highest court in the land; not that that has deterred any of the other crazies and Demonrat judges from hearing other cases of similar ilk, they decide that they don’t want it to go any further because it will probably, once and for all, settle this boolchit.

In the meantime however, they’ve tied up the courts with their frivolous boolchit and mental illness.

What has really amazed me since Trump entered his second term is the number of Demonrat appointed judges that are simply ignoring the law.

Yet, Chief Justice Roberts declared that there are no Clinton judges or Bush judges or Obama judges and that they ALL follow the law. Bwahahahahaha.

    1. Nemo–Roberts was co-opted years ago. And yes, interesting how judges are ignoring the law and SCOTUS is having to field crap that shouldn’t be a thing–like someone got canned and sued.

      1. MWC, the most glaring example of states ignoring SCOTUS is New York, New Jersey, M-Asshat-Chusetts, Connecticut, et al. completely disregarding NYSRPA v. Bruen.
