Well then move your ass right on back….

A Dem Rep from Illinois (of course) Delia Ramirez, stated: “I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American.”

She’s an anchor baby whose parents crossed the Rio Grande just in time for her to be born in Chicago.

As an anchor baby and therefore presently a US citizen, she did not have to formally renounce her allegiance to another country. Ironically enough, she’s on the Homeland Committee.

DHS has questions about her statement.

She’s indicated that she’s going to cross the border into Indiana to look at detention centers for illegals here. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.

  5. Too bad, currently, Homan & co. can’t snatch her off the street and send her where she’s so proudly ancestrally from.

I am in continuous amazement listening to these “elected officials” spout their boooolchit while waving their finger in our face. Makes wonder the nature of their constituency.

Theodore Roosevelt’s ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.

“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American … There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag … We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language … and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people. This is a nation — not a polyglot boarding house. There is not room in the country for any 50-50 American, nor can there be but one loyalty — to the Stars and Stripes.”
