Harvard is crying crocodile tears because their ability to admit foreign students has been put on hold. They are screaming about 1st Amendment rights, but I don’t think there’s anything in there about bringing foreign students in that pay top dollar (and are also the right color to meet Harvard’s continuing ‘diversity’ goals).
Harvard says that foreign students now make up a quarter of their student body.
Of course a judge stepped in (again) to put a stay on the government’s action. As a note on the judge (who is surprisingly enough NOT a Harvard grad but did grow up in Boston):
Burroughs also presided over a July 2020 lawsuit filed by Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that sought to halt an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) policy that required international students in the United States on F-1 visas to depart the country if they would not be attending in-person classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Judge Burroughs announced that the Trump administration had agreed to reverse the policy during a July 14, 2020, hearing in her Boston courtroom.[11]
But all of this has a very simple answer–all Harvard has to do is submit legally required documents on the students they are bringing into the country using the F1 visas, quit allowing their Jewish students to be bullied (why would any Jewish family give Harvard their money at this point?), quit discriminating against Whites and Asians, and basically just not be assholes.
That’s all.
