Why do Congressional Dems and the Judiciary want the US to be in debt?

This is something that caught my eye:

Federal Judge Blocks Trump Administration’s $11 Billion Public Health Grant Cuts

Then there was the cartoon character Rep making sure that HHS was going to spend every single dime that they gave them:

I always thought that the power of the purse included making sure that money was WELL spent, not just spent. No wonder they are fighting DOGE so hard. Doesn’t seem to be the way that either Congress or the judiciary think.

  1. When I stopped believing governments (Federal / State / Local) represent me, and realized, they actually hate this country and more importantly, they hate you.

Then everything they did made sense.

  2. Because anyone that you owe, owns you.
    That’s why debt-free is best-free.

  3. Doge and cuts like the above are causing harm to the gravy Train of many congress critters and their families and friends and many corporations.

This is why they have to buy judges to stop the cuts.

    1. B–Agreed. They’re used to their feeding trough always being full. And right now, they still have a lot of money to buy off those judges.

  4. How many times have we worked at places and towards the end of the fiscal year everyone is scrambling to spend money because “we have not depleted the budget and if we don’t spend it all we won’t get it next year!!!!”

Is that not the dumbest statement ever? If you don’t NEED to spend it… and you SAVE it instead… should that not be a GOOD thing?

No. You GOTTA SPEND IT… or you budget will be CUT!!! OMG!!!!!

This is how stupid things can be in the private sector.

My expectation of the Government would be no better.

    1. boneman–It’s endemic in all big institutions, private and public. Spending is incentivized and saving is not.
