The airplane weight one – I was traveling back home on Friday after working remotely for the week. The final leg was a little twin engine turbo-prop puddle jumper for a roughly 30 minute flight. It was at least 105 F that day and they came out to our little group and explained that because it’s that hot, they have to restrict how much weight that plane can handle and wanted at least 4 or 5 of us to give up our seats. Obviously it was the last plane of the day and meant I’d lose a day getting home. Looking around, there were two women that each weighed at least 400 lbs each. And so I spoke up, “As an engineer, I think there’s a way to optimize the situation”. That didn’t go over so well. The bus ride I took instead was fun though.

Don–Yeah, a think a bus ride would have been your best option at that point. Of course, the weight/balance issue might have been resolved if only those two ladies gave up their seats since they were equal to the weight of four average men.

Wow. Looks like Camilla is trying to look like Princess Diana. Frankly, the royals should be taxed on all of their property like commoners. Once they own nothing, they can get real jobs. Maybe then they’ll get a glimpse of what commoners go through.

I got bumped of an overloaded Twin Otter up in the arctic. Pilot told me it might be a day or two before they could make it back depending on weather.
Thought my chances were better on my own then surviving a plane crash. They picked me up the next day.

i did not work it out but that integral does not look all that difficult. the hard ones are with e^x^2 and even those have been worked out with beta series and Gama series, a the squared root on the bottom usually end up being a natural logarithm, but i might be wrong after that I did not work it out.
