The NHS is going to be testing kids who are self-identifying as trans for autism or other conditions. Which sounds great on the surface. However, it sounds to me like they are trying to double their money.
Dr Hilary Cass, a retired consultant paediatrician and former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, who led the review, said it was vital that children who identify as transgender receive treatment for “ordinary” problems such as depression or autism.
Cass linked the rise in teenage girls struggling with gender identity with cases of “undiagnosed autism, which is often missed in adolescent girls”.
They want to be sure they ‘treat’ for depression or autism, but dollars (or pounds) to donuts, it’s going to be concurrent with puberty blockers and surgeries because they are opening up EIGHT new gender clinics over the next two years.
Double the meds, double the funding….
