The Chatham Illinois woman who killed four children and injured six others had a clean preliminary toxicology report.
It’s possible she had a medical emergency, but that avenue of investigation is ongoing.

This begins to raise the uncomfortable possibility that it was done with malign intent, or was done due to some psychological issue, assuming it wasn’t a case of lost consciousness or incapacitation due to a sudden medical event. There are a lot of wack people running around. I’ve not followed this story closely, did see a blurb about it in local news, but was typical mainstream reporting short on much useful detail.

Probably the best source for updates is WICS Channel 20 Springfield

I was wondering if more would come out on this story. Being here in SW FL where the population (myself included) is a bit more “seasoned” we have a rather high incidence of traffic accidents that have been caused by “Medical Events”.
So that was my other thinking on this as to possible root cause.
Generally speaking, the incidence of “Florida Man” accidents in that locale I would think would be very rare.
Let’s wait and see what / if anything comes of “further investigation”.

I remember my grandmother ran over a line of garbage cans because she got confused, missed the brake pedal and hit the gas instead. Right then and there she just got out of the car, left it parked on the curb, and decided she was never driving again. She called my uncle and told him to come get the car and sell it.
I’m in favor of cognitive testing elderly for renewing their driving licenses. I’ve seen other wrecks too that could have been attributed to age.
Of course, not saying this is the same – we’ll have to wait for more info.

BRD–I’m hoping it was a medical event and not a psycho break.
Gary–Thanks! I lived in the area back in the day and forgot about Channel 20.
boneman–I would have thought that first had she been older. We’ll see what comes out.
Don–You’re lucky your grandmother gave it up voluntarily. Had to force the issue on both parents, especially my dad. Finally insurance refused to cover him so that was our ‘in’. We’ll see what happens in this case–she’s 44 so I’d think that age-related issues would not be a thing.

Naming convention is… well… kinda lame. I’ll roll with it but usual and customary is to start with the MOST prevalent to most specific. In this case, something like this:
POUCH – PILLOW, LAP SEAL, 2.750 (LAY FLAT) x 4.875 (CUTOFF)
And maybe change “CUTOFF” to “REPEAT” but that’s more semantics than anything else. Just something to ponder.
I will title as stated in the markup
As to the balance (text rotations, etc.) allow me to make the dyslexic adjustment rotating the entire mess and the “CAD” stuff as would be usual and customary and let me know what you think.
Stay tuned.
