Fauci’s 30 Pieces of Silver

After his retirement in 2022/2023 (there is some question as to his actual final day) from his $480,654/year salary (he got paid more than the President), he ‘earned’ $3.5 million, got a $5 million payout from Penguin Random House for his memoir, and got a gig at Georgetown as a distinguished professor.

Long story short (check the list of payouts at the link above), he doubled his net worth in 2023. All while taxpayers were paying for his security and transportation to the tune of $15 million.

Between his work on HIV and the subsequent deaths from AZT and what he likely caused by funding the wuhan institute and what the policies he created and pushed during covid did to destroy the world, it’s looking like he got well paid for his efforts.

  1. The book deal and the professorship is how the Left pays people for their service after they retire.
    Plus “Speaking Fees”.

  3. Looks like he got paid better after retirement than the commandant of Auschwitz; all he got was a piece of rope.

But the FDA’s ethics review board (Fauci’s wife) said that was okay. 🙄

Freddy hit the nail on the head. There are a number of ways to “legally” pay bribes to the Washington elite. Anyone remember Hillary’s book deal after she won her senate race, but before she took the oath of office?

It looks like the standard acceptable bribe-laundering approaches are book deals, family charitable foundations, and having your kids sit on the board of directors.

If you want to steal directly from the taxpayer, it looks like running an NGO is (was?) the way to go. I like the way the Clintons built a house on their compound for the secret service agents, and then charged the secret service the full mortgage cost of the compound for their mother-in-law’s quarters.

When Senate majority leader Harry Reid was asked about earmarks to his children’s companies, he replied that that someone had to profit from it. Might as well be his kids.

One of the few things that Obama did as a senator was earmark money for the hospital that Michelle worked at. Interesting enough, after he was elected to the senate, Michelle received a huge pay bump. When asked, the hospital president said she was worth every penny (and given Obama earmarks, he was probably right).

It’s no wonder that Washington elites are so out of touch with average Americans.

    1. Unferth, and when Obama moved from the Senate to the White House, Moochelle’s no-show job at the hospital was eliminated.

  6. …and the really sad part is, that barring an unforeseen mishap, like slipping on a grape at the grocery store, he’ll live to a ripe old age, laughing at us all like we’re chumps, never having to look over his shoulder. At least his .gov security detail was removed.

  7. Freddy–Definitely the oldest forms of payola.

riverrider–True. Don’t know where he’s hiding that money.

steve6–He’s gonna be surprised when he goes to his deserved reward.

Unferth–It was a match made in hell. Regular Americans can’t get away with that kind of grift.

    crazyeighter–Like magic…

    Nemo–There is that.
