Throwing down at the vet’s office

I had to take a cat in for bloodwork this week (just a check and all is well). The vet has two doors–one for cats and one for dogs. They still go in to the same open lobby, but I think it does help keep the two worlds separate.

So I’m there waiting in the cat area (fortunately I always crate them) when this women with a big barking dog comes through the cat door. Dog immediately heads my way. Because dogs tend to really like me.

However, I jump in front of my cat’s crate, hand extended and, in a very firm voice say ‘Cat Entrance!’ (cat is not happy to have a canine that close).

Dumb bint looks at me and says ‘I’ve used this door before and never had a problem’. My sarcasm knob goes immediately to 11 and I reply ‘yeah, YOU’VE never had a problem, what about the cats’? With a followup of ‘and the doors ARE labeled for a reason.’

At that time, another guy with a dog comes to the cat entrance, sees the big sign, and goes around. A ‘for fuck’s sake at least HE can read’, did come out of my mouth. She looked at me hard from across the room and I thought it was gonna happen. Fortunately they opened up a room (I think to prevent a melee) and got me back as quickly as possible.

Throwdown, denied.

steve6–It would be best if she doesn’t breed for sure.

  6. Along with stupid, there are some with a mindset that rules don’t apply to them if it’s not convenient. I guess you could call that software stupid versus hardware stupid. As the eyewitness, only you could say which category she fell into.

  7. That does it, if you were ready to throw down on a snide assed bitch that was that stupid, I don’t want anything to do with the ass beating I’d get, pissing you off… My little ankle biter loves kitties to gnaw on and I don’t go into the cat side of a vets clinic cuz’ I know she would get whupped assed by the cats. Plus, I can read.

  9. Wait wait wait… two entrance doors that lead to the exact same room? No barriers or dividers in the room at all, just a door on the left and a door on the right that leads to the exact same place. And you’re throwing a fit because you didn’t like the fact someone used the ‘wrong’ door?

Lady, you’re literally the problem with this country. Every single fucking thing about this story, is the reason we have the issues in this world that we do. Is your real name “Karen”? Surely it has to be…. What a cunt!

  10. This is literally why people suggest we should repeal the 19th Amendment….. And you can’t even understand why!!!!
WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY WE SHOULD REPEAL IT!

What a stupid fucking bint, holy shit!

  11. Hey Blow Hard,

Just because you’re ignorant of the room layout doesn’t give you the right to assume a layout and then diss our hostess based on your ignorant imagination.

The scary part is that you activate your wild imagination, assume all sorts of things, and the you actually vote. People who take such a militant stand while wallowing in their own ignorance is precisely what’s wrong with this country.

Please, don’t let the door hit you on your way out — or better, let it hit you in the head, might do you some good.

Trust me, I’ve known MC for MANY years, She is many things, but NOT a Karen.

I use the same vet, and while there are no barriers, there are two distinct places…one, for dogs, (Oddly enough) by the “Dog” entrance, and another, smaller group (for cat people) that is, oddly enough, near the “CAT” entrance.

The two spaces are far enough apart to prevent issues, mostly.
This system works well, until assholes like yourself use the wrong door. Most people use the door labeled for their particular kind of pet, as most of them can (and do) read.
It is assholes like yourself that fuck up a perfectly well-working system.

  13. Frank–She was definitely the former. The door was closer to where she parked.

    Cederq–Reading IS fundamental… 😉

Joe Blow–Interesting that with everything going on in the world, you decide that THIS post is the one that gets your panties in a twist. Damn son, you need to get a life.

Fucktards like you are actually what’s wrong with this country. And you felt the need to comment twice too. You’re done here. Oh, and BTW, a Karen would delete your comments but I’m not a pussy. I figure it’s a sign that I’m getting a wider readership when I get my first troll.

Unferth–Totally agree and thanks for your support!

B–Thanks for that and for explaining the layout of the room.

  14. Local doctor has two waiting rooms, one for children and parents and one for adults only. Pretty straight forward right?

Karen and her spawn come in to the adult only area. Nurse says semi politely, adults only, please get you and spawn to the other waiting room. Karen says, “I am the one that is sick. I don’t want the spawn exposed to those sick children. He might catch something”. I guess she had an adult only cough and sniffle.

    Pox on them all.

    1. Just like you would catch covid in the restaurant when you were standing but not while sitting. Or my favorite, the 6 ft rule applied front and back in line but not side to side. Germs/viruses are extremely clever.

  16. steve6–Exactly. They can tell both ages and measure. Tricksy viruses indeed!
