Rest in Peace, Gene Hackman

Gene Hackman, along with his wife and dog were found dead yesterday in their home in New Mexico. Although he retired from acting decades ago, pretty much any movie with him in it will stay on if I’m channel surfing and that is due to his acting.

  2. They had, apparently, been dead for a while.

Could be CO poisoning, but we don’t know.

When no one else cares, it can happen to anyone.

I have a friend that I text “good morning” to on a daily basis. Since before Covid, she’s been afraid that she will die, her cats will eat her, and no one will know or care for months.

I haven’t seen that the Hackmans had to worry about being eaten by their dog.

  4. May they rest in peace. And yes, definitely a ‘puzzle’ right now.

  5. Zarba–Comment for the win!

B–His much younger wife was with him. Didn’t make a difference.

poorworkingstiff–I have the same arrangement with friends due to the same fear.

NFO–Yes, may they rest in peace. And I hope they figure out what happened for sure.

  7. One of the best (if not THE best) actors of all time as far as I’m concerned. He appeared to always give 100 percent in every role. He will be missed.
