Words matter

We’ve seen the result of allowing the libs and progs to control the language over the past several decades.

  • Democracy vs Republic
  • Clump of cells vs Unborn baby
  • Undocumented newcomer vs Illegal alien
  • Non-Trans woman, bodies with vaginas, person who menstruates vs Woman
  • Minor Attracted Person vs Pedophile
  • Shots vs Vaccines
  • Nazis vs anyone a liberal doesn’t agree with

All of these migrations in usage or change of definition were designed to meet an agenda.

Calling our country a democracy allows for the tyranny of the majority. As a corollary, I believe it helped to negate the rule of law.

Calling a baby a clump of cells made it easier for women to kill a child in the womb.

Calling an illegal an undocumented person makes it seem like they just left their license at home instead of actually doing something against the law by sneaking into our country. I believe Ron DeSantis just took a member of the media to task for that one.

The non-trans-woman for woman switch was tried by Carlos Strangio, the woman who hated being a woman so much that she tried to become a man. Incidentally she’s the one who spoke before the Supreme Court in favor of child mutilation.

They keep trying the pedophile change of term, but it’s really not gaining any traction. But they keep trying.

They actually changed the definition of vaccine to cover for ineffective shots.

The last happens almost daily.

I guess the best thing is to not let those things fly. The tide has turned towards free speech again. But in order to make sure it’s free, we can’t allow changes in definitions to cloud issues.

    The Left thinks that defining something differently, especially in the media, changes the meaning.
    It doesn’t.

    Renaming something doesn’t change what it is….and they can fool the Leftists that follow them blindly, but not thinking individuals.

    I’ve been saying this for fifty years. There’s no such thing in law as an “illegal immigrant”, or any of the other these gobbledygook phrases invented out of thin air that imply some right to be here.

    They are Foreign Nationals, correctly classified as Aliens, and here Illegally. Ergo, Illegal Alien is correct legal terminology. Every politician, every news organization, knows this.

    They do not use the gobbledygook phrases by accident.

    US Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor, an Unelected Bureaucrat, racist, sexist, and communist, says it’s demeaning to call them that.

    May dogs piss on her grave.

    Changing the words that define various groups is one of the key strategies in the Cloward Piven and communist playbooks. Getting the media to play along and promote revising terms is another key strategy. Thankfully, the MSM is now discredited, although they are still a news source for a goodly % of the population.

    Technology has changed to game here. The proliferation of alt media; podcasts and non mainstream news sources, and Trump labeling the MSM as fake news, has almost rendered the MSM irrelevant.

    Using widely disseminated news media as a way of controlling opinion is as old as the printing press.

    The internet changed all of that.

    loony leftist linguistics, it would be entertaining to see a fully compiled list (even though the first 114 pages would now be only a partial peek at genders)

    my opinion, this experiment in lunacy snowballed with the good will and intentions of the ADA…those practices were bastardized and weaponized in unintended, but somehow legal, ways

    let’s hope we aren’t too far gone

    Liberals are ruled by emotion. Using euphemisms allows them to disassociate the negative connotation associated with certain words like illegal or pedophile, thus enabling them to feel better about themselves and morally superior to others while defending their otherwise indefensible positions.
    Conservation are ruled by logic.

    It’s worse than all that, even. The words/phrases they chose to substitute are also purposefully chosen to be blatantly in opposition to observable reality, and thereby intentionally insulting to those of us who reside there. It’s a giant Orwellian “fuck you” right in our faces everytime one of these BS terms is used, instead of the actual word(s) that should be used.

    Anyone who chooses to misuse the language in the fashion these people have should receive an immediate and painful beating for every instance of their complicity in perverting the English vocabulary. If nothing else, fear of the pain would eventually stop them from behaving this way. And the most recalcitrant ones who cannot learn should be put down like rabid dogs for the destruction they bring about. And yes, that’s my brutally honest take on it, with no apologies made.

    Don–I get the point, but the proper term is homosexual. Leaving out the last part makes it a slur.

    B–Depends. If the word democracy is used in schools instead of Republic, then children are indoctrinated.

    Matthew–True on all counts.

    wv–She’s all identity politics all of the time. Don’t care if it’s ‘demeaning’. It’s accurate and they earned it.

    Nemo–Yep and at least it’s one good thing about the internet.

    blueray–P.J. is totally correct, IMO.

    greg–As long as people notice and are not using their words, then we haven’t gotten too far to fix.

    Glenn–I also think they like having a ‘secret language’.

    BRD–I’m not sure that most of them are actually that cognizant of what they are doing. Most are following the leaders.
