I’m guessing that this time around, service at DC restaurants for Republicans is going to be a lot different than when Sarah Sanders was hounded out of a dining establishment and the owner was hailed as a hero by the folks on the Left.
A part-time waitress at a place on Capital Hill touted herself as a manager and went on record saying that Republicans were going to get crap service because they were Republicans (even worse than the way that Pelosi treated our National Guard members).
Yeah, now she’s fired and the restaurant owners are falling all over themselves to walk back anything she said, including noting that she decided to get into their social media account in the middle of the night to spew her rhetoric.
“Our staff and families (many of whom are personally offended by Ms. Van Rooy’s comments about them) are still reeling from what Ms. Van Rooy said and did, and we as a restaurant are simply horrified to be associated with base prejudice,” a statement from the bar’s Facebook page read. “None of us saw this coming, and regret deeply that the voices of over two dozen people who work at Beuchert’s Saloon are being silenced because of one person’s awful behavior.”
The game has changed for sure! It was a dumbass thing to say in the first place. Sure, behave badly if you don’t want tips and want the place you work for to go under.
