Via Irons in the Fire: Claudine Gay is resigning. The fact that she and the Harvard Corporation trustees held on so long shows their hubris.
She made it a whole six months (and two days).

I have to admit, that was my breakfast surprise today. Apparently the eminences on the Corporation board licked their forefingers and held them up to the wind.

Avraham–Yes and probably not.Chas–Now we can see if the Harvard brand is completely broken because they waited so long. Plus her resignation letter didn't take any responsibility for her actions as far as plagiarism.

Matthew–It remains to be seen if she rejoins the faculty. It's the usual academia golden parachute.

She will, if she hasn't already, be given a teaching position were she won't actually have to do anything at a salary at least as high if not higher than she was receiving. The left always takes care of its warriors,especially when they can do so using OPM.
