The answer is when Netflix decides to blackwash Cleopatra. And now they are being sued by the government of Egypt to the tune of $2 billion.
Not only did they make Cleopatra black, they did not have anyone from Egypt as commentors in the series. And they ignored any evidence of the fact that Cleopatra was actually Greek.
The Egyptians take their history very seriously and really don’t appreciate it being used for a political agenda.

Meanwhile, they totally ignored that Black Ethiopia ruled Egypt for a few generations. A fact of which Egypt fully acknowledges.

Anon–Indeed!wv–That's the point the Egyptians are trying to make. Their history is being co-opted.Beans–Right–but since none of their rulers are as popular or well known as Cleopatra, must re-write history instead of actually embrace the real thing.
