 Via Not the Bee:  Helen Joyce who is an editor for The Economist, explains why parents who allowed their children to be mutilated due to perceived gender dysphoria (actually social contagion) are going to fight to the bitter end to keep this travesty going.

It’s the same reason that people are in denial about the covid shots.  For whatever reason, they got the shots, despite every bit of ‘information’ coming from the government flew in the face of common sense, history, and medical privacy.  Especially parents who got their kids the shots.  The ‘sudden deaths’ of children and young adults (mainly boys and men) from heart problems are still mounting.  Kids are being put on heart monitors since sports physicals are now looking for heart issues, due to their prevalence.

But in both cases, denial is the only path of sanity for these parents.  To admit, even to themselves in the middle of the night, that they fucked up so badly and caused their children irrevocable harm, is something they just can’t face.

So in order to cover their mistake, they’ll continue to push for it for other children so they are not alone in their pain.  That’s why, in this case, government needs to step in to put a stop to it.  Because the parents who gave in or who believed the hype, won’t come to their senses.
