Memorial Day–Honoring those who gave their all for us

Today is a day that is not about hot dogs and cookouts, but about honoring and remembering those who gave their lives and who give their service to this country and to the ideals of freedom and to the proposition that all men are created equal.  So today I remember the honored military who gave their all and try to be worthy of that sacrifice.

Today, remembering SGT Shawna Morrison, KIA 5 Sep 2004 and SPC Michelle Witmer, KIA 9 APR 2004, during Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Ladies, you are not forgotten.

  2. I always remember my father and grandfather on this day. They are both long pasted. Father served 2 years in the pacific in WWII and grandpops served in Europe in WWI. Neither one ever spoke much about their time at war but I do know it made them who they were and the man they made me. Never be men like that anymore sad to say. To all the have fallen and served we salute you today.
