Idaho state government is fighting the Bureau of Land Management on a proposed windmill project.
“Idahoans cherish the concept of multiple and mixed uses on their public lands. This requires conservation, predictability of use, and, most importantly, support from the local communities. These deep-rooted values are compromised by a piecemeal approach to large-scale generation projects on public lands. Dedicating hundreds of square miles of public lands to a specific use will have a long-term effect on recreation, grazing, sporting uses, and the land in general,” the press release said.
Any power generated by the windmills, wouldn’t even be for Idahoans, it would go to California. California is a drain on both water and power while implementing crappy policies itself. This project would also be:
” encroaching on the hallowed ground like the Minidoka National Historic Site, killing birds of prey, or destroying wildlife corridors in the name of “fighting the climate crisis.”
Oddly enough, Greta Thunberg, the golem of environmental doom, is chaining herself to the entrance to the Ministry of Energy in Norway to protest windmills that operate on traditional Sami reindeer herding grounds.
Where are the US greenies when stuff like this is proposed??
