 That was Lori Lightfoot’s ‘solution’ to ending crime in the city of Chicago.  Don’t carry or use cash.  

“We have been in Little Village working with street vendors, understanding what the nature of the crime is, making sure we’re doing things in concert with them to help them make sure that their money is secure, not use money if at all possible, using other forms of transactions to take care of themselves,” the mayor suggested.

 This woman is running for re-election for mayor of the city.  She is, and has been a train wreck throughout the covid years, demonizing and tying the hands of the police, as well as dealing with influxes of illegals to the ‘sanctuary city’.

The city is one step away from residents and visitors leaving their cars unlocked and the trunks open like they do in San Francisco to keep their cars from being destroyed.

And that’s the best ‘solution’ she could come up with.
