So PayPal snuck that 'mistake' back into their TOS

After PayPal and the ‘fact checkers’ started running for cover after putting a $2500 fine for ‘misinformation’ in PayPal’s terms of service, you would have thought what they said was a ‘mistake’ would be corrected.

Not so much.  That verbiage is still in there–it’s been quietly put back.

“If you are a seller and receive funds for transactions that violate the Acceptable Use Policy, then… you will be liable to PayPal for the amount of PayPal’s damages caused by your violation of the Acceptable Use Policy. You acknowledge and agree that $2,500.00 U.S. dollars per violation… [is] a reasonable minimum estimate.”

Anyone who fell for their ‘stay with us and we’ll give you $15’ shtick or stayed with them thinking it was a mistake or that they can’t be targeted, be warned.
