Pfizer’s Paxlovid, which was, IMO, designed to be an ivermectin substitute to fight covid, is turning out to be as deadly as its mRNA covid shots. As a reminder, it’s still under EUA also–NOT fully tested.
Apparently it interacts badly with a whole slew of drugs including: anti-seizure medications, drugs for irregular heart rhythms, drugs for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications, antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications, steroids, HIV treatments, blood thinners, and erectile dysfunction medications.
Because no older person would be taking any of those (I hope you can hear the sarcasm in the statement).
The paper also notes that interactions between Paxlovid and some blood thinners can cause a higher risk of bleeding, while interactions between Paxlovid and cholesterol medications such as Statins can be toxic, CNN reports, citing the paper.
That’s what happens when you kludge together a new drug and don’t test it properly.
And Pfizer is advertising the hell out of it on local radio stations and over the air television channels.
