Not sure how this works in church politics

The Archbishop of San Francisco put out the word that Nancy Pelosi should not get communion because of her increasing advocacy for baby-murder.  I think he was under the impression that she might, as a person who is very vocal about her religious status, give a two shits about what he said and would not present herself for communion.

He underestimated the fact that she believes her own press and feels she is above such edicts.

She went to the same Catholic church in DC that said it was okay for Biden to get communion and got her transmogriphied wine and bread there.

I don’t know what the ramifications are for the priest who gave her communion.  The guy in charge in DC is a Cardinal and the guy in San Fran is an Archbishop (I think lower in the hierarchy).  Pretty sure even Pope Francis is on the same page with the Archbishop.

This might be the moment when the Church has to come off the fence.

  2. NFO–It would be interesting to see if the church pulls on its big boy underoos and stands up for its own orthodoxy.
