The National School Board Association has ‘apologized’ for its (former) leadership’s collusion with the DOJ and the White House (at least one person involved got a nice cushy gig with the Feds).
The letter that they sent has started a new era of bringing the FBI and Dept of ‘Justice’ down on the heads of parents who are, in most cases, concerned and angry about what is happening in their public schools.
As horrible as the result has been (parents being labeled and treated as domestic terrorists), drafts were much worse--calling for the National Guard and military police to come and ‘monitor’ school board meetings.
In typical mealy mouth fashion, the NSBA promises to ‘do better’ going forward (how on earth could they do worse?). But there’s nothing that says that they are sending a new letter to the DOJ denouncing the original document, excoriating the ones who created it, or asking for the shit-storm they put into motion to be retracted based on their findings.
Of course they’ve lost half of their membership over this, which is probably the only reason they are apologizing–their paychecks are at stake. I’d love to see this organization reap what they have sown and be forced to close doors.
ETA–The NSBA board was given a draft of the letter and let it fly anyway, showing they are a bunch of sycophantic puppets. They should all be replaced if the organization is going to continue.
