What part of 'illegal' are they not understanding?

To paraphrase American Express–citizenship has its privileges.  Except in states like Illinois, California, and New Mexico, where you don’t have to be a legal citizen in order to reap the benefits of being a citizen of the United States.

In Illinois, illegals can have taxpayer (citizen paid) healthcare at no cost to them.  Any illegal from 42 years of age on up is eligible.  There’s quite a bit of money that comes out of my paycheck for health insurance and private insurance is upwards of $1000 a month.

California has been doing the same thing for years.

Illegals can also get federal (taxpayer paid) financial aid  in certain places and several states also have state-level (taxpayer funded) grants for illegals for college.

New Mexico has decided that covid funds can be used for paying for college for illegals as well.  (Love those blank checks that get written on our dime).  These are fully funded and a privilege that most citizens don’t get.  How they figured that an earmarked fund could be repurposed, I don’t know.

If they had $63 million left over, in theory it should go back to the Feds.  But we know that government and fiscal responsibility are two things that do not go together.

At this point, if I wasn’t so pale, I’d try to come over the southern border just for stuff that I can’t get as a citizen–free cell phones, automatic exemption from covid shots, and transportation to anyplace in the country.

ht B for the New Mexico info.
