Yep, lockdowns were bad and stupid

Two separate studies (as if we needed them) indicate that the steps the governments of the world took about a virus with a 99.7% survival rate–picking and choosing businesses that could stay open (the big ones won, the little ones lost big), masking, mandates, and utter tyranny were bad, wrong, stupid, and destructive (I’m adding some verbiage).

From the Heritage Foundation:

“Those policies have failed to achieve their stated aim and have done enormous economic, social and political harm. Perpetuating the national emergency mindset is futile, misguided and infeasible … It is time to move on from COVID-19.”

And about Sweden, who bucked the trend and let their people just do their thing: (ht B at Middle of the Right)

Sweden made the correct decision by avoiding a full Covid-19 lockdown and relying on their population’s common sense, a commission into the handling of the virus has claimed.

Despite praising keeping the country open, the commission said some restrictions should have been introduced earlier.

Swedish experts said repeated lockdowns in other European countries were neither ‘necessary’ nor ‘defensible’.

A government gets to choose who or what is essential,  is a tyrannical one.
