Huh, who knew that kneepads were needed for shooting?

The former ambassador to Russia on MSNBC said in  regards to Ukraine, a problem for the Ukrainians is that they don’t have kneepads because you need kneepads to shoot a gun.

Silly me, I just figured kneepads were for people who wanted to get to the top in politics without having any ability.  For shooting, it’s practice, practice, practice.  No kneepads required at the range.

But aside from that utter stupidity, he also said that he’d been in on phone calls about the situation in Ukraine.

Why would an ex-ambassador (his end date was in 2014) be in on ANY phone calls regarding Russia and the Ukraine??

They really need to clear out a person’s security clearances when they are no longer in a position to access sensitive material.

  2. I was going to say maybe it was a translation mistake until I reread it and he's the American (Liberal) ambassador to Russia.

  4. You don't need pads if you are using a matt at a range with a well trimmed lawn. If you are flopping down in an area covered with fragments and debris, you damn-well better have pads. The ground/pavement is hard at best. The time wasted clearing your landing is the time that your opponent will be using to put the cross-hairs on your life. You don't need pads “to shoot”. You want pads to,stay alive while shooting.
