Lowering the bar preemptively

The CDC is already covering their ass regarding forced masking of children in schools by lowering the bar on speech early development.  Now, instead of knowing at least 50 words at 24 months, they’ve changed it to 30 months.

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, or ASHA, still says that speaking less than 50 words by the age of two is cause for concern.

So the coverup of the aftermath of their horrible policies is already being swept under the rug.

  2. Want to bet that there is a racial problem with their scoring of language. Just like schools, EVERYONE must get a passing grade.

  3. NFO–It's all a big shell game. They are already trying to hide the damage they caused. 'Nothing to see here… move along.'Mike-SMO–It's not that so much as the fact that babies learn language by watching people's mouths move and get feedback from facial expressions. With masking, they aren't getting that feedback or those visual cues.

  4. Yep, we are badly messing up an entire cohort of children with these inane mandates. Not just the masking, but the prohibition on being closer than 6 feet messed up their learning to play and socially develop. On top of that, they got to be raised in an environment of mass fear and anxiety and that has horrendous effects on children and child development.

  5. Aaron–yes. I can't imagine being raised in such fear. And when I see kids masked even now, I cringe and/or want to slap whatever parent is closest. But it seems that the teachers and unions are the ones perpetuating this travesty also–the ones who should know better.
