Eighty years ago today, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor out of nowhere. Until then, the US was willing to mostly stay out of WWII, although some men from the US were going to Canada to join the war (my grandfather among them).
The Japanese, and the world, didn’t know what they wrought that day.
Today, thirty survivors and other veterans will gather at 7:55 am and will remember.
We need to remember with them.
