 Minneapolis and St Paul both decided to defund their police departments and move those funds to social workers.  

At the time, the rest of us were like ‘good luck with that’….

And it has born the fruit that we totally expected–they have had a Chicago-style shooting at a St Paul bar that has left a woman dead and fourteen others wounded.

The police showed up–nary a ‘violence interrupter’ to be found.

It’s just going to get worse unless they pull their heads out of their asses.  Officers in that city are leaving (who’d blame them) and they haven’t been able to make any new hires.  It will take at least two years to get new officers on the street if they are allowed to hire new recruits.
