 Fauxi had to put on his dancing shoes for his Sunday rounds following the FDA’s advisory panel vote 16 to 2 against general Pfizer booster shots indicating that there was a lack of safety data to show that the benefits would outweigh the benefits of this action.  They said it was okay for older folks (65 and up).

Bear in mind that the true FDA vote does not have to follow the advisory panels’ ruling so they may still vote in favor of boosters.  If they do, they will have lost whatever credibility they have left, which isn’t much at this point.

But try to parse through Fauxi’s word salad as he tries to make it seem like the Administration didn’t step on their dicks by making it clear to anyone who’s watching that this vaxx thing is totally political in his response to Jake Tapper:

…”The president was very clear, as was the medical group when we said we are planning to do this, and it was always said, in his official statement, in the official written statement from all of us, including the FDA and the CDC, that was pending, and on the condition of the examination of all of the data by the FDA. It’s understandable how there could have been some confusion, but what was said was pretty clear, Jake.”

The thing that was clear is that they thought the fix was in but someone at the FDA still has some professional standards.
