I’m announcing MC’s law:
In lieu of discussion or a cogent counter-argument in a debate, one of the parties simply calls the other person a racist. This also comes into play when someone is wanting to avoid responsibility–instead of owning up, they call the other person a racist.
This is happening in public discourse all of the time. It’s even being applied to laws that people don’t like such as Voter ID laws in Georgia and Texas. Claims that a person is born with the shiny new original sin of being white or claims of microaggressions also fall under MC’s law.
The use of the term racist is specifically designed to be a a conversation or debate ender and is codifying the term ‘playing the race card’ as a sub-category.
A second new law, yet to be named, will address the ‘Covid Effect’. If something doesn’t work or isn’t available, or an excuse is needed for any fuck-up, then Covid is the reason.
If you have any ideas about either of these, feel free to chime in via the comments.
