Dr. Jeremy Heinrichs, who was under investigation by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation due to his stance on mask mandates as a Mahomet-Seymour Board of Education member has received an ‘apology’ –actually it was sent to his lawyer.
The original communication from the IDFPR asked him specifically for a “detailed statement on your opinion about masks, and whether you support and will enforce a mask mandate based on your elected position as a school board member.”
Probably due to the fact that he has a state Senator in his corner as well as some top notch lawyers, the state has had to back off (note this is my opinion). He’s now been told that the state does not need that information and that the case will be dismissed in January when a new law allowing for these dismissals for no cause comes into effect.
His lawyer has indicated that Dr Heinrichs is going to stay mum on the subject until the case has been formally and legally dismissed.
Wise move.
