Such a sad little person in a self-made sad little world

So an LA Times opinion editor (who just happens to have a ‘pandemic getaway’ in the mountains but never mind that now) has a cow and decides to write about it because….  wait for it….  her neighbors at her pandemic getaway were neighborly and plowed her driveway for her.  Did a good job too.

But because they are open Trump supporters, this kind act leads to an existential drooling breakdown about how she might have to actually be nice to them with a side order of how nice and levels of nice and is she obligated to wave to them or up the ante and take them cookies.

Her hatred and loathing for anyone not within her sphere or who has views not in lockstep with her own is palpable.  Conflation of an act of kindness with a plea for ‘absolution’ for their wrongthink and the mental acrobatics she goes through are painful to read.

Her world is a horrible, miserable place with form over function and no joy.

It’s very sad.
