  • GAO Finds that the NIH/FDA/CDC made public health decisions based on politics

Considering the fact that none of the governmental leaches who are supposed to help in a crisis, not cause one have been proven to be purely political critters and made decisions, including the timing of decisions such as EUAs and the suppression of studies on covid, then people’s heads should be rolling.   The report (found… Continue reading

  • Paxlovid is a bust

Reports are now coming out that the much touted Paxlovid-Pfizer’s answer to ivermectin, is almost as crappy as its DNA altering shots.  There’s no death associated with it (yet), but…. There’s the ‘Paxlovid Bounce’ where people take it, feel better for a day or two and then get sick again and the ‘Paxlovid Spread’ where… Continue reading

  • This could be construed as a little catty

However, it seems to me that the new head of the Ministry of Truth looks remarkably like Quentin Tarantino in drag? Apparently I’m not the only one:  found on the interwebz: Continue reading

  • What did they expect? Do your diligence before buying a house.

A couple in Massachusetts bought a house on a golf course.  And their house has, surprising no one, been continually pelted by golf balls.  Apparently their house is in a particularly bad spot.  Regardless, they sued the country club and actually won. This kind of stupid, aided and abetted by the court system is just… Continue reading

  • Sunset pics

If you look at some of them closely, you can see the Chicago skyline. Continue reading

  • Yep, that would end most of the smaller colleges (not that there's anything wrong with that)

Brandon and Company don’t seem to be able to see the possible consequences of their actions.  The specter of ‘forgiving’ federal student loans via executive order fiat has risen from the dead (nothwithstanding the fact that even Pelosi said it would be illegal).   It’s a bad idea on several fronts–you might get kudos from a… Continue reading

  • Pictures from the sky

B blogged about our trip to Knoxville with our trip to Calhoun’s–a local BBQ chain, and his really good landing when we got home.   Here’s some pictures from our trip as we went through a bank of clouds (yay for B’s IFR rating).  Ya know, they say things are fluffy as clouds or soft as clouds,… Continue reading

  • Grooming, now with a special side of furry kink

A second grade teacher in Austin Texas gave an ‘assignment’ instructing students on how to become furries.   If you don’t know what that is, look it up. A second grade teacher in @AustinISD allegedly gave students worksheets on furries. These included a furry wordsearch and an activity on designing your own furry persona. pic.twitter.com/8SUWeOUgQd —… Continue reading

  • Forced Inclusion, how lovely

The University of Illinois is making activism, specifically diversity/equity/inclusion (as they define it), a requirement of receiving tenure.  What this will ultimately mean is a sideways belief litmus test.  Even more than that, it means that all research, hiring, and interactions will be skewed towards this particular mindset. So let’s go a little further.  If… Continue reading

  • Colleges are not meeting their expectations anymore

Truly, they haven’t for a while.  But academe is definitely leading the way on stupid when it comes to covid.   Universities large and small are re-implementing masking and restrictions and some are once again going back to pure online due to rising positive tests (tests that even the CDC says should not be used as… Continue reading
