Well crap. RIP Tim Curry

Tim Curry died yesterday (8-25-26) also at age 80, like Dolly. Best known for playing Frank-N-Furter in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, he also had some great roles in movies like Clue, Legend, and The Three Musketeers. He also scared the crap out of an entire generation with his version of Pennywise in It.

ETA: I was fortunate enough to see him in Spamalot on Broadway and meet him with the other actors after the show.

He was a great talent and had a voice that would melt butter.

  2. He was also in one of my “guilty pleasure” movies – Oscar, which an attempt at a full-blown comedy starring Sylvester Stallone. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it kind of sank without a trace.

  3. Truly a very talented man. Loved him in just about every role he was in.
